Alabaster Disaster - Alabaster, AL

This past fall, I drove by this house in Alabaster and couldn't stop thinking about it. I had heard from the neighbor that it had been rented, but that the owner was very frustrated with the situation. He was the original owner of the home and had made the decision to rent it when he and his wife moved out a few years ago. I decided to mail them a letter to ask if they would be interested in selling it. They were, and it felt like a big win-win for all involved! As you can see from the before and after of this home exterior, it had been neglected and needed a little TLC. We replaced the garage door, windows and shutters, painted the door and trim, replaced the exterior lighting, and landscaped.

The interior needed a complete overhaul. New painting and flooring throughout, obviously. For the living room, we opened it up to the kitchen/dining area, and added new light fixtures and recessed lighting.

The kitchen got new cabinets & hardware, sink/faucet, backsplash, countertops, vent hood, island, pendant lights, and new appliances!
