How do I see a property?
Call our office at 205.
278.3820 between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. We will answer questions about the property for you. Once you have driven by the property and still have an interest, then you can call back to schedule a showing.

What are the qualifications to rent?
To rent one of our homes we require verifiable gross income of approximately 3 times the rent. You must also have a recent good rental reference or mortgage payment history. Your credit history must indicate that you pay your bills on time.

How can I pay rent?
All rents can be mailed and can be personal checks, certified checks or money orders. The office mailing address is PO Box 43503, Birmingham, AL 35243.

What is the deposit?
On most properties, one full month of rent is due as a security deposit. This may vary depending upon rental history, credit, and/or property.

When is my rent due?
All rents are due in our office before end of business the 5th day of each month. Late fees are $50.00/month after the 5th.

Can I have pets?
All properties are different and some do allow pets. You will have to speak to the leasing agent for full details. Any properties allowing pets will charge a non-refundable pet fee of $350.00 for 1 pet and $500.00 for multiple pets.

What about utilities?
On most properties, all utilities must be placed in your name.

What about repairs?
While a tenant, if you have problems that arise, simply call our office at 205.

What about remodeling or updating property?
You cannot change anything (paint, walls, etc.) in or on a property without written permission from Barkley Properties.

Note: Full details are contained in the lease you will sign with Barkley Properties. It is your responsibility to read and understand all covenants contained therein.
